What is the Paleo Diet?

The Paleo diet is based on eating the foods that our ancestors ate thousands of years ago. These are the foods that were available through hunting and gathering. It consists of lean meats, nuts and seeds, fruits and vegetables. Recent technology has made other forms of food available that our bodies do not easily digest. Foods such as dairy, grains, processed foods, fried food, etc are examples of what should not be in a Paleo diet. The Paleo diet has been shown to provide longer, lasting energy and a more balanced sugar level in our blood throughout the day.
